Scheme of studies

The children undergo a routine that is designed to keep them physically fit, mentally alert and morally upright. Most of the Amrita Vidyalayams follow the CBSE syllabus. However, depending on the local requirement, syllabus prescribed by the state boards is sometimes followed. The students are trained with lot of audio-visual aids. The students are prepared to meet the challenges of the globally competitive environment with emphasis on integrated personality development. At Amrita Vidyalayam, special emphasis is placed on teaching English, the medium that opens the door to the vast frontiers of science and technology. The students can choose their respective mother tongue or Sanskrit as the second language and Hindi is taught as the third language.

Primary & Secondary

2. Second Language : Mothertongue (From STD I to IV),
   Mothertongue/ Sanskrit (STD V to X)
3. Third Language : Hindi (From Std I)

7. Work experience : Computer Science/ Gardening
8. Art Education : Drawing/Painting
9. Physical & Health Education

Senior Secondary

The learning areas include:

1. Language: English
2. Science group – Three electives out of the following:

3. Commerce Group (At Amrita Vidyalayam, Kodungallur only)
