In Sorrow Without You, Amma!
Oh silver stars in the dark night sky,
Don't you see this poor one cry?
When you shed your light on the Universal Mother
Won't you tell Her how I suffer?
Oh shining moon, I envy you,
How lucky you are too!
You see Amma every night
Won't you tell my sorrowful plight?
Amma is always there,
In everybody and everywhere!
But I can't see Her, anyway.
How can I see you in all things?
Though in my ears, your voice rings.
You must be there with me always.
Till I see you, I'll be counting the days.

The Ocean of Love
Why me, why me?
The victim to be.
Oh Mother! Is there no one,
To help your poor son?
Why sorrow? All mighty!
Grasp me, without mercy.
A little creature am I,
And all I can do is cry.
For without your grace, Mother,
In this darkness, I shudder.
Let thy Divine Grace be
Bestowed on me,
And from these bonds
Make me free.
Decrease my ego and free me
Of my load. And uplift me to thy abode.

The Rain
It was a dark night
The rain was pattering on my window pains
I opened my window and
Looked out
I saw that
The cool breeze is blowing
As to inspire the ghosts
I thought of the rain
One drop fall on my lap,
As an answer for my thought,
It told to me,
‘I gave hope, happy and sad to people.
And I was happy

Although Sita was smart and good at her studies she behaved rudely with others and didnot obey her elders. She was not of the habit of following advices from her parents and at times used to get scolding and punishments from them. She was not happy when her parents petted pampered her sister. Sita and parents used to visit her aunt living in the city.Sita was very much attracted to city life and she loved to stay with her aunt.
One day while playing with a knife, Sita`s sister got her legs wounded. The wound was bleeding badly and Sitas parents rushed her to the hospital and got the wound dressed. on their return from the hospital Sita`s father scolded her for carelessness.Sita couldn`t tolerate this. She thought that her parents loved only her sister and they hated her.The very next day she left her home without telling her parents. She thought that she could go to her aunts house. After walking through streets and roads, she reached the city. Suddenly a beggar tried to catch her. She was frightened and began running. After sometime, she reached her aunts house. She explained everything to her aunt. They informed sita’s father and they at once reached aunt’s house and took Sita back to their house. Sita now understood her mistake and thus she became a lovable and obedient girl.

Sweet are the uses of adversity
Adversity is the touchstone of man's greatness. It is a fact that man's power of endurance and fortitude are called into action when he is faced with difficulties. The latent virtues are stirred into activity. It is through trials and tribulations that a man's character is slowly forged and moulded. The chastening influence of adversity is felt even by the weak and the humble. The human personality is always in a state of flux. Nobody knows whether a man is strong or weak until an occasion comes to test his strength of character.
Adversity is the test of man's character. It reveals whether a man is a coward or a hero, honest or dishonest, selfish or selfless, virtuous or wicked. We have in our history many examples of great men whose character and greatness came to limelight in the face of difficulty and hardship. The greatness of Rana Pratap for example multiplied manifold during the hardships he bore as a fugitive.
Prosperity only discovers the vice. "Security is moral's ( greatest ?) enemy", says Shakespear. In prosperity man thinks himself most secure, grows careless and thus evil things confound him. Hence discretion, reason, forethought and circumspection which warn people against dangers, forsake a prosperous man. He grows proud and arrogant. Decency is banished as a prosperous man snaps his fingers at morality. A prosperous man becomes cruel and callous towards suffering humanity. But if prosperity discovers the vices, adversity corrects and checks them. A man nailed on all sides by dangers and difficulties, presses down adversity, grows alert, thoughtful and cautious. Adversity teaches man sobriety, humility and modesty. The man emerges pure gold after passing through the fire of sufferings. He gets selfconfidence, reason and strength of character. Indeed prosperity throws off our guard but adversity makes us cautious, strong, thoughtful and discriminating.
Adversity does not have a uniform effect on all persons. It sometimes leads people to unhealthy, evil and antisocial activities. It is only the good and strong who become better and stronger under fires of adversity, while bad or weak expose some of their worst weaknessess under similar circumstances. Even the social environment and hereditary influences combined with education and upbringing play a vital role. The principles of honesty and justice are put to severe trial in the face of prolonged sufferings.
We need not idolise poverty or hardships of life, for God does not intend us to be miserable, hungry and finally perish. But God does want man to realise that fruits of labour are sweeter than the fruits of adversity. A certain degree of prosperity is absolutely necessary for existence. By itself adversity can teach us nothing, if it does not lead us on to prosperity. Adversity in itself is dark and unhealthy unless it holds a promise of happier days ahead.

THE WAY MY DREAMS GO ........
When the stars shine over my head
And moon, on me pours bright light,
I think of the time when I will be
In the company of stars, that shine above me.
I will be happy with my friends there
For no discrimination, they’ll show at all.
They will show me what real love is
And love me forever and ever.
Neither will they still on me,
Nor will they ever think ill of me.
There’s nothing for me to be afraid of there
As all I see, will be peace around me.
Unlike this earth of ours where fear brood over me.
Though I know that I’m on my mother’s lap.
So I dream of the time when I will be
In the company of stars, that shine above me.
